Non-Recital

Grade 2 – 12

Dance City’s Non-Recital Dance Program focuses entirely on skill-building and technique without the commitment of a year-end stage performance! Running from September to June, these classes are designed for all experience levels to build confidence, strength, and coordination in a low-pressure environment. Dancers will learn proper technique from our highly qualified teachers and celebrate their hard work with a special in-class showcase for parents at the end of the season.

Stretch & Strength

Technique Only Class // Grade 2 – 12
Classes run from September to June and dancers DO NOT perform in our Year-End Recital

Stretch & Strength is a specialized conditioning class designed specifically to support a dancer’s training and promote long-term injury prevention. It is the perfect supplemental class for any dancer looking to protect their body, enhance their stamina, and unlock their full potential on the dance floor!

Dress Code: Girls

Apparel (Purchase at Dance City)

  • “Emerald” Weissman Spaghetti Strap Bodysuit (#MT12457)
  • “Ballet Pink” Weissman Tights (#W900C or #W900)
  • OR comfortable, form fitting athletic clothing

Hair

  • Pulled off the face in bun or ponytail

Stretch & Strength Tuition for the season is divided into four (4) equal payments and will be paid: Upon registration ($70.00), November 1 ($70.00), January 1 ($70.00) and March 1 ($70.00) and are subject to GST. PST will also be charged on dancer’s recital costume.

This brand new class introduces dancers to the fast-paced world of dance team pom, focusing on sharp technique, synchronization, coordination, and team spirit! Perfect for anyone looking to bring maximum energy, precision, and passion to the dance floor. Classes run from September to June and dancers DO NOT perform in our Year-End Recital.

Ballet Tech for Athletes

Technique Only Class // Grade 6 – 12
Classes run from September to June and dancers DO NOT perform in our Year-End Recital

Ballet Tech for Athletes is a specialized cross-training class designed to give athletes a competitive edge. This class focuses on classical ballet fundamentals that translate directly to peak sports performance and injury prevention. This class is a technique-only class and does not perform in recital, making it equally perfect for dancers looking for a supplemental technique class to refine their lines and strength.

Ballet Tech for Athletes

Acro

Technique // Grade 2 – 12
Classes run from September to June and dancers do not perform in our Year-End Recital

A combination of dance, limbering and floor tumbling, to emphasize strength, balance and flexibility. This class is highly recommended for our jazz and ballet dancers. Classes run from September to June and do not participate in the year-end recital or competition. This class provides continuous training and strengthening throughout the dance season. Classes are open to dancers 7 and up in our Foundations, Progressions, Competitive and Pre-Professional dance programs.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY 10 MONTH PROGRAM // SEPTEMBER TO JUNE // FOUNDATIONS PROGRAM, PROGRESSIONS PROGRAM & ADULT PROGRAM

  • A parent/guardian must complete a cancellation form provided by Dance City prior to the next installment pay period (Prior to November 1, January 1, March 1).
    • Credits and/or refunds are not offered if cancellation form is not filled out before the next installment pay period (Prior to November 1, January 1, March 1).
  • If lessons are canceled prior to March 1, costume becomes the property of Dance City.  No refunds or credits provided.
  • Costumes are property of Dance City until your account is paid in full.
  • Costumes are property of Dance City if they are not picked up by June 15 (including costumes not picked up from quick change).
  • Tuition fees / installments are non-refundable.
    • 1st installment paid upon registration is also non-refundable, even if classes have not begun.
  • Costume fees / installments are non-refundable.
  • Registration fees / installments are non-refundable.
  • Recital fees / installments are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are not provided for any missed classes.
