Adult classes

Our Foundations, Progressions and Adult Spring Session Classes offer dancers of all levels the perfect opportunity to explore various dance styles, refine their techniques, and have FUN! Sessional classes include in-class performance opportunities and do not perform in the year-end recital.

New! Adult Broadway Jazz Session

12-week session beginning March 5, 2024 // Ages 18 years and up

Dress Code: Men

Apparel

• Comfortable clothing (no jeans)

Shoes (Purchase at Dance Store)

• Jazz Shoes or Ballet Slippers (Any Colour)

Hair

• Pulled off the face

Tuition is a one-time payment for all Broadway Jazz classes in the session (not including registration fee and applicable taxes).

Adult Tap/Jazz Combo

Full-Year Performance OR Technique Class // Ages 18 years and up

Adult Tap-Jazz is offered as a technique OR recital performance class. No previous dance expereince is required for technique option – we do recommend having expereince for recital option.

Dress Code: Men

Apparel

• Comfortable clothing (no jeans)

Shoes (Purchase at Dance Store)

• Black Split-Sole, Lace-Up Tap Shoes (Bloch or Capezio)
• Black Jazz Split-Sole Elasta Booties (no laces, Bloch or Capezio)

Hair

• Pulled off the face

Tuition for the season is divided into four (4) equal payments throughout the season. The tuition payment amount listed below will be paid on each of September 1, November 1, January 1 and March 1 and are subject to GST.

Adult Ballet

Full-Year Technique Class // Ages 18 and up

No previous dance experience required. This is a technique class and does not perform in our annual recital.

10 Month Classes (September to June) Cancellation Policy

• A parent/guardian must complete a cancellation form provided by Dance City prior to the next tuition pay period. (Prior to September 1, November 1, January 1, March 1).
• Refunds are not provided for any missed classes.
• For Adult Tap/Jazz Combo only, if lessons are canceled prior to March 1 the recital costume becomes the property of Dance City. No refunds provided.
• Registration fees are non refundable.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY – SESSION CLASSES (Adult Sessions)

• Cancellation refund is only accepted if cancellation form has been submitted to Dance City within 7 days of the student’s registration date.
• Any cancellations received after the 7 days may qualify for full credit if notice has been received before the 1st class.
• $35.00 Registration fee will not be refunded.
• Refunds are not provided for any missed classes.
