Our Foundations classes are the perfect introduction to movement for your tiny dancer! Starting at 18 months, dancers will explore creative movement, ballet and tumbling with tap added at the age of three and jazz at the age of six. Foundations classes allow our youngest dancers to discover the magic of movement in a fun, developmentally appropriate and encouraging environment. We offer both performance and session classes.
All of our Foundations classes are taught by top-notch, qualified Dance Educators.
Our Foundations Performance program introduces dancers aged three to eight years to the art of dance and runs from September to June. Classes are offered in tap, ballet, jazz and acrobatics disciplines. Students registered in these classes participate in regular in-class performances and have the opportunity to perform at the year-end recital at the Conexus Arts Centre.
Our Foundations Session classes run for 12-weeks in the Fall, Winter and Spring and offer a great opportunity for new dancers to be introduced to dance without the year-long commitment. Classes are offered for students aged 18-months to five years in movement, tap and ballet disciplines. Session classes include in-class performance opportunities but do not perform at the year-end recital.
