Owners

Nadine Selinger

ARAD RTS, ADAPT, Acrobatic Arts, CDTA-L
Owner & Artistic Director

Nadine is a registered teacher and mentor with the Royal Academy of Dance, holds her ADAPT teachers certificate, CDTA membership and has her Acrobatic Arts teacher certification. She has been an entrepreneur and business owner for over 17 years, she’s an Elite Member of the Dance Studio Owner Association, holds her Small Business and Entrepreneurship certificate from Mount Royal and is a certified adjudicator. Nadine also has considerable experience in mentoring her students from childhood all the way to become certified dance educators.

 

Brett Selinger

Owner & Chief Financial/Operational Officer

Brett is the backbone of the studio, keeps the lights on (literally!) and does all the jobs that no one else wants to do at the studio. His primary responsibilities are the logistical operations of the company and overseeing its financials.

Miss Nadine is a registered teacher and mentor with the Royal Academy of Dance, holds her ADAPT teachers certificate, CDTA membership and has her Acrobatic Arts teacher certification. She has trained with the State Street Ballet Company (Santa Barbara, CA), The American Academy of Ballet (Eugene, OR), Canadian Dance World (New Westminster, BC) and Drewitz School of Dance (Estevan, SK). She is also a national competition adjudicator and the recipient of numerous choreography awards. Some of Miss Nadine’s students have gone on to work professionally with Celebrity Cruise, Princess Cruise, de Costa Talent Management, Stratford Festival and Globe Theatre; have trained with the Randolph College for Performing Arts, Sheridan College for Fine Arts and University of Houston Dance Program; and have appeared in various shows including Beverly Hills 90212, Shameless, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and two up-and-coming shows on NBC and Netflix!

Miss Randi is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, holds her ADAPT Teacher Certificates in Jazz and Tap, is a Licentiate Member of the CDTA Sask. Branch in Jazz and Tap, holds her Acrobatic Arts Teacher Certification, and is a certified teacher of the AcroDance Pre-School program. She holds her Studio Fine Arts Club – High Impact Teacher Certification – Level 1 in Early Childhood Fundamentals and her Bachelor of Arts Education from the University of Regina. She has over 20 years of experience preparing and entering students for dance examinations and competitions. She has been the recipient of many high mark and choreography awards; however, her greatest pride is seeing the growth and personal success in her students over the course of their training.

Mrs. Miller is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance; a CDTA Licentiate member in Tap, Jazz, Modern and an Associate in Ballet; an ADAPT certified teacher and has her Acrobatic Arts Module 1 certification. She is also Past President of CDTA Saskatchewan Branch and CDTA National and is currently the CDTA National Modern Consultant, Saskatchewan Regional Modern Rep and a CDTA Examiner in Modern. She has been the local rehearsal director for Moscow Ballet’s Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet and Swan Lake, and was the founder and director of Applause Dance Academy for 29 years. She has been adjudicating dance competitions across Canada for over 30 years, and her former dancers have become professional dance teachers and performers across Canada, USA, and Europe. Mrs. Miller has 50 years of teaching experience, loves teaching all styles of dance, and believes that everyone at any age should be dancing!

Miss Nicole is a registered teacher with the RAD, has her ADAPT Teachers certificate in Tap and Jazz, is a Licentiate Member with the CDTA SK Branch in Tap, and was a member of the Team Canada National Tap Team in 2014 that competed in Riesa, Germany. She completed her Advanced 2 RAD Ballet certificate, Grade 8 RAD Ballet certificate, Advanced CDTA Tap and Jazz certificates, Intermediate 1 ADAPT Tap and Jazz certificates, and is a graduate of Dance City’s Pre-Professional Program. Miss Nicole has many years of experience in preparing students for dance examinations and competitions and has won numerous choreography awards. She has an absolute love for teaching children of all ages, and has a particular soft spot for the little ones!

Miss Erin holds her ADAPT Teachers certificate in Tap and Jazz, Acrobatic Arts Modules 1 and 2 certifications and has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing. She competed in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 World Baton Twirling Championships in Barcelona Spain, Osaka Japan and Minneapolis USA respectively. She has over 15 years of experience preparing and entering students for examinations and competitions and has won numerous choreography awards at competitions.

Finding a love for the art of dance at a young age, J.T. has trained extensively in multiple dance disciplines. Hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan, he made his professional debut at the age of 15, as a singer/dancer in Saskatchewan Express Touring Musical Theatre Revue. Over the past 10 years, J.T. has been living in Toronto, Ontario and has performed/worked with many Toronto-based and New York City-based dance companies, choreographers and festivals including: Transcen|Dance Project (Julia Cratchley), Frog In Hand (Colleen Snell, Noelle Hamlyn), Human Body Expression (Hanna Kiel), hART Dance (Martha Hart), Alysa Pires Dance Projects (Alysa Pires), Helix Dance Project (Linda Garneau),  TOES for Dance (David Norsworthy/Kristen Carcone, and MADboots Dance – Jonathan Campbell, Austin Diaz), Bridge to Artists (Vlad Novitski), Rutherford Movement Exchange (Stephanie Rutherford), Conteur Dance Company (Eryn Waltman), RiaToss Productions (Ross Wirtanen), Ryan Lee, Kelly Shaw, Jeff Dimitriou, Toronto Fringe Festival, APAP Showcase (NYC), and Capezio ACE Awards (NYC). J.T. holds his ADAPT Teacher Certification and has successfully completed his ADAPT and CDTA jazz and tap exams, Advanced 2 RAD, and Advanced 1 Cecchetti exams. His choreography has won numerous awards at competitions including winning “best choreography” and a gold medal at an international competition/ youth-talent television show in Beijing, China.

Bottaro

Dance Educator

Armando has performed for and trained with the following companies as a soloist and in the ensemble: Italian National Ballet Company, New Euroballet Company, Renato Greco Dance Company, Mvula Sungani Italian Dance Theatre, Ballet of Naples, Rome Opera Theatre, Greek Theatre of Siracusa, In Scena Opera Company and Spazio Dance Company. He also performed for five years on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines touring the world. Under full scholarship, he trained at A.I.D. in Rome; OFF JAZZ Company in France; The Company Classical Ballet Association of Reggio Emilia and with Neva Dimova, Siracusa. He has over 20 years experience teaching and choreographing in Italy and Canada, and is the recipient of numerous choreography, overall and high point awards.

Miss Tovéah was a previous member of our Competitive and Pre-Professional Programs. She trained at the studio for over 10 years and has successfully completed her ADAPT Intermediate 1 jazz exam, her ADAPT Advanced tap exam, her CDTA Advanced tap exam, her RAD Grade 5 ballet exam and her RAD Intermediate ballet exam. Miss Tovéah has a passion for teaching the little ones and is thrilled to see their faces light up when they dance this season!

Dance Educator

Miss Jenaya is a graduate of Dance City’s Competitive and Pre-Professional dance programs as well as the Dance City Teacher Mentorship Program. She trained at the studio for over 10 years and completed her ADAPT Intermediate 1 jazz exam, her ADAPT Intermediate 3 tap exam, her CDTA Advanced tap exam, her RAD Grade 8 ballet exam, and her RAD Advanced Foundation exam. She is a first year at the University of Regina in the Faculty of Education, intending to receive her masters to be a school teacher. Miss Jenaya has a passion for teaching children of all ages and is excited to pass on her love for dance to younger dancers this season.

Miss Nadia is a registered RAD teacher and is a Licénciate member of the CDTA Tap division. She has taken courses and holds certificates in Acrobatic Arts, Aerial Yoga, Progressing Ballet Technique, and Lifetsyles Meditation. She is looking forward to returning to Saskatchewan after teaching abroad.

Jessica Bedo

Dance Educator

Miss Jessica is a graduate from Dance City’s Pre-Professional program, training at the studio for over ten years. She has two years of teaching and many years of assisting under her belt. She has successfully obtained her ADAPT Jazz and Tap teachers certificates and has also completed her Advanced ADAPT Jazz exam, Intermediate 3 ADAPT Tap exam, RAD Advanced 2 Ballet exam, and RAD Grade 7 Ballet exam. Miss Jessica loves teaching Ballet and is excited to watch her students grow and get to know them this season!

Mia Poissant

Miss Mia was a previous member of our Competitive and Pre-Professional program, training at the studio for over ten years. She has completed exams in Tap and Jazz under the ADAPT syllabus and her Advanced 1 RAD exam. She is currently enrolled at the University of Regina and is very excited to meet all her students and help them grow this dance season!

Miss Haven is a graduate from Dance City’s Pre-Professional program. Training at the studio for over 10 years, she has successfully completed her ADAPT Advanced jazz exam, RAD Advanced 1 ballet exam, RAD Grade 8 ballet exam and Acrobatic Arts Level 8 acro exam. She also holds her Acrobatic Arts Module One Teacher Certification. She is a first year university student at the University of Regina, pursuing her schooling in sciences with the goal of attending medical school. Miss Haven is beyond excited to get to know all her students and help them grow as individuals this season. 

Addyson Young

Dance Educator

Miss Addyson has been training at Dance City since she was six. She is currently training in the Competitive and Pre-Professional programs as well as the Teacher Mentorship Program. She has completed Ballet and Jazz examinations through the ADAPT and RAD syllabi. Miss Addyson has also had the opportunity to explore the art of dance at school through the Balfour Arts Collective (BAC). Through this program she has learned the freedom and creativity of dance and has developed a deeper understanding of who she is as a dancer. Miss Addyson is so excited to teach and share her passion for dance with all students!

Brooke Lowrie

Dance Educator

Miss Brooke is currently training in Dance City’s Competitive and Pre-Professional dance program as well as the Dance City Teacher Mentorship Program! She has been dancing at Dance city since she was three years old! She has completed examinations in tap and jazz under the ADAPT syllabus as well as completing her Advanced 1 RAD ballet exam. Miss Brooke enjoys teaching all ages and is excited to help her students grow as individuals.

Dan Luzar

Mr. Dan has been dancing for 13 years. He is part of the Teacher Mentorship Program and Dance City’s Competitive and Pre-Professional Program program. He loves teaching dancers and sharing his passion for dance with everyone!

 

Darcy Kudeba

Dance Educator

Miss Darcy started dancing at Dance City at the age of four and this will be her 13th year dancing at the studio.  She is part of the Teacher Mentorship Program and is currently training in the Dance City Competitive and Pre-Professional dance program.  Miss Darcy has completed Tap exams with the ADAPT and CDTA syllabus, Jazz exams with the ADAPT syllabus and is currently working towards her Advanced Foundation RAD Ballet exam. She is excited to share her love and passion for dance with her students.  Miss Darcy finds it is such a joy to watch her students grow not only in their dance skills but also in their confidence.

Leah Booker

Miss Leah is currently a part of the Competitive and Pre-Professional program. She has been training at the studio for almost 13 years and during this time she has completed many exams, including ADAPT Inter 3 in both Jazz and Tap, CDTA Tap Advanced, and RAD Grade 8 and Advanced 1. Miss Leah enjoys teaching both younger and older students, and she discovered this love by being a teacher assistant for many years under the teacher mentorship program. Miss Leah is looking forward to sharing her passion for dance with all the dancers this year as well as watching them find the same joy she feels while dancing!

Miss Lily is currently in the Competitive and Pre-Professional program at Dance City, as well as the Student Mentorship Program. She has completed her RAD Advanced Foundation exam, along with many CDTA and ADAPT Tap and Jazz examinations. She can’t wait to share her joy for dancing with her students and teach them what she has learned throughout her years at Dance City!

Miss Kelly holds a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in the Early Years from the University of Regina. She has taught Discovery Pre-school, Pre-Kindergarten, and French immersion Kindergarten with Regina Public Schools, as well as pre-school arts and exploration classes at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre. Kelly has witnessed the immense benefits of dance in the 16+ years that her children have trained at Dance City and she is passionate about creating opportunities for young children to explore their world and express themselves through the arts, movement, and play. She loves working with children and is beyond excited to join the Fine Arts Academy Faculty this year at Dance City.

Miss Tayler started dancing at Dance City at the age of 3! She has completed examinations in tap and jazz under the ADAPT syllabus as well as completing her Advanced 1 RAD ballet exam. After graduating the pre-professional program at Dance City she enrolled at the University of Regina in a Bachelors of Science in Psychology to pursue a career in Child Intellectual Development. Miss Tayler has been teaching at Dance City for the past 2 years where she has had the opportunity to share her passion for dance with all the students. She loves teaching and inspiring young minds through dance, play, and education. There is nothing that makes Miss Tayler happier than seeing the joy on students faces when they achieve their goals and dance from the heart!

Miss Rae holds a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Psychology from the University of Regina. She also possesses the Studio Fine Arts Club Level 1 High Impact Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Fundamentals. With extensive training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Acrobatics, Hip-Hop, and Baton Twirling, Rae’s passion for the arts developed early in her dance journey. Her accomplishments include Advanced certificates in CDTA Tap and Jazz, Intermediate III Tap and Jazz ADAPT certificates, Grade 8 RAD certificate, and Advanced 1 RAD Ballet certificate. After assisting in Regina, she joined the Drewitz School of Dance in Weyburn, teaching children of all ages. Rae’s classes provide a celebratory, positive, and secure environment, reflecting her wholehearted dedication to education and the art of dance.

Miss Rachel is a former graduate of Dance City’s Pre-Professional Program. Training at the studio for over 10 years, she has successfully completed her Intermediate 3 ADAPT Tap and Jazz certificates, Advanced CDTA Tap certificate, Grade 8 RAD Ballet certificate, and her Advanced Foundation RAD Ballet Certificate. She was part of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Cheer Team for the 2019 season and was a member of the 2014 Junior Canadian Tap Team that competed at worlds in Reisa, Germany. Miss Rachel is a recent graduate of the University of Regina where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Miss Rachel has a passion for teaching all ages and is beyond excited to help her students grow as dancers and individuals this season.

Kyra Harris is a former dancer and teacher from Dance City. She trained and competed in all styles of dance. She has completed examinations in tap and jazz through the ADAPT Syllabus and ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance. After graduation from Grade 12, Kyra moved to Toronto to pursue her love for dance, singing and acting by training and completing her Performing Arts Diploma at Randolph Performing Arts College.

While in Toronto Kyra had the opportunity to work with numerous choreographers and perform in dance shows such as Choreo Ball, The Inspire Awards, Fever After Dark and Junk Yard Bandits. Kyra is represented by 10 Talent Management in Toronto and is excited to be teaching and sharing her love of dance.

Miss Sheena is a junior (third year) student at Sam Houston State University. She started dancing at the age of 3 at Dance City; has completed her Advanced ADAPT tap and jazz, Advanced CDTA tap and Advanced 2 RAD ballet examinations; and is a graduate of our Pre-Professional Program. She has attended many dance intensives and competitions, including the Rockettes Summer Intensive in New York, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, School of Alberta Ballet (for grade 11) and representing Team Canada at the World Dance Championships in both Germany and Poland.

After graduating from Dance City, Halle attended Harbour Dance Centre’s Intensive Training Program under the direction of Moe Brody. Throughout the program Halle received extensive training from world-renowned choreographers in addition to spending several hours each week with vocal coaching, acting lessons, and circus training. Upon completing ITP, Halle was signed to Da Costa Talent Agency where she launched into the film and TV industry, recently performing in CW’s ‘Riverdale’, and ‘Charmed’, NBC’S ‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’, CBS’s ‘BH90210’, Barbie, and can also be seen in Netflix’s series ‘Julie and The Phantoms’ where she worked with world renowned director, Kenny Ortega. Halle is incredibly grateful for these opportunities, and is eager to continue pursuing more commercial endeavours in the future. Halle is committed to a life of growing, learning, and performing. She feels most at home when she’s on stage!

Emily

McNair

Born and raised in Regina, Miss Emily has been dancing for most of her life. Emily grew up dancing at Myers School of Dance and Applause Dance Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan where she trained extensively in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip hop, modern and musical theatre. In addition to her regular training, she attended various summer schools and training programs with Alvin Ailey, Broadway Dance Centre and The Rockettes in New York City; Harbour Dance Centre and Vancouver Tap Festival in Vancouver; the Alberta Ballet as well as several others across Saskatchewan. Her dance career includes performances in Grease in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; TeleMiracle; Alberta Ballet’s Nutcracker ballet; as well as a number of other local and national performances. Emily has been teaching dance since 2005, is an Associate Member with CDTA in Tap and has studied and taught the RAD, CDTA and ADAPT syllabi.

Studio & Enrolment Coordinator 

Delanie is our Studio & Enrolment Coordinator, meaning you will likely see her smiling at the front desk when you walk into the studio! She holds her Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Entrepreneurship from the University of Regina. Delanie has performed in both dance and gymnastics, but found her true passion in rhythmic gymnastics when she was seven. She competed and performed in rhythmic gymnastics for over 14 years and has traveled to Switzerland, as part of Team Canada, to perform in World Gymnaestrada. In her spare time, you can almost always find her drawing, painting, or taking care of her pets!

Shelley retired in 2022 after a long career with SaskEnergy. She had 20 years of experience as a proud dance Mom (to Rachel and Maia) and is enjoying learning all the “behind the scenes” activities to ensure the seamless operation of our studio. With a background in customer service and system support, Shelley brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. When Shelley isn’t busy managing the ins and outs of the studio, you will find her golfing, curling, walking her dog “Teddy,” and spending time with her family. Shelley loves meeting all the dancers (and families) and doing everything she can to make their experience a great one.

Miss Chrissy holds her Year 1 ADAPT Tap and Jazz Teacher Training School. She was the Dance Captain, Aerialist, Install Director and Feature Dancer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines for 10 years; Dance Captain and Swing onboard Disney Cruise Lines; Former Dancer, Rehearsal Director, Assistant to Artistic Director and Choreographer for the touring company of Saskatchewan Express; and Assistant Teacher and Senior member of the Salsations Dance Company at Myers Dance Studio. She has over 20 years teaching experience and is the recipient of numerous choreography, overall and high mark awards. Chrissy has her Advanced CDTA Tap and Jazz certificates, Grade 8 RAD Ballet certificate, Intermediate 2 RAD Ballet certificate and Intermediate 1 ADAPT Jazz certificate.
