Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.
If you are a new Competitive student, welcome to Dance City! Please contact us at hello@reginadancecity.ca to discuss class placement.
Contemporary
Students are required to attend two Competitive Ballet classes and two Competitive Jazz classes a week in order to take a Pre-Professional Contemporary class. Dancers at this level will perform at two local competitions, one out-of-province competition as well as our year-end recital in June at the Conexus Arts Centre.
